Lakeland, Fla. – The SPCA is kicking off its 18th Annual Pets on Parade with a party. Everyone is welcome to attend this kick off party which will feature free popsicles and Smoothie King smoothies. Laptops will be available for participants to build personal fundraising pages via firstgiving.com.
The kick off will be held on Friday, February 26 from 4 to 6 p.m. in the Education Room on the Campus of Kindness off of Brannen Road South in Lakeland.
Those who attend will be entered into a raffle for a family package of tickets to the Lakeland Community Theatres production of Annie to be held during the month of March which will feature orphaned animals from the SPCA. The package includes two adult tickets and two tickets for children. For more information please visit www.lakelandcommunitytheatre.com.
Pets on Parade will be held April 17, 2010 at Lake Hollingsworth in Lakeland and raises money for the SPCA. The event includes a 5K race, a walkathon, various activities and more. Vendor applications are now being accepted.
