Additionally, we offer Care Credit, which allows you to borrow the money needed for vet assistance. The Medical Center staff can fill you in on that program as well. I called the vet, it will take 2or300 dollars if he don’t have to have surgery. I have no money because I have been laid off for four months. Can some one help Elvis . He is my partner, I can’t put him down.

Under the direction of Southeast Environmental Solutions, Inc. and the Florida Fish and Wildlife Commission (FWC), we are taking every necessary measure to ensure these turtles are safely relocated to a protected, long-term habitat in Brooksville. All of this is being done prior to expanding our Medical Center, which continue to provide much-needed care to the community’s pets. The property, which we own, was never designated or intended as a protected turtle habitat. Our removal of the turtles had to meet FWC requirements and will ensure long-term protection. These animals are in trouble primarily due to habitat loss. I guess you’re only interested in preventing cruelty to domesticated animals. Moving them out of the way of your project is not a solution, it’s pretending that you’re not doing anything wrong. They will struggle to adapt to a new location, and some may die as a result. You’re stealing something from them that they will never get back.

Thanks for the question. I e-mailed one of our vets, and the following is his response:

Most things in life are OK when done in moderation and canned chicken in small amounts is OK for cats. Fat is the main culprit so white meat with no skin, fat or bone as a treat canned or otherwise will be well tolerated by most cats. The biggest danger is potentially unbalancing a commercial diet by feeding too much or by developing a taste preference so the cat refuses other food choosing instead to hold out for chicken.
