Chase has taken advantage of social media by launching the Chase Community Giving Campaign with a clever tagline:

“You decide what matters.”

That’s right. You, me, we decide what matters. Chase will be giving away $5 million to charities.

Here’s how it works. You have to become a fan of “Chase Community Giving” on Facebook. Then, you can look us up by searching for “spca, inc”.

Every user has 20 votes and can only vote for a charity once. So, that’s one vote for the SPCA and 19 votes for other causes that you believe.

We need to be in the top 100 by Dec. 11 when Chase will give $25,000 to each top 100 charity. Yep, you heard me right – Chase will be giving out $2.5 million. Those recipients will be annoucned Dec. 15. That’s not all either.

Final voting will be from Jan. 15 – 29, and after two weeks of voting, Chase will give $1 million to the top charity and $100,000 to the five runners-up.  Then, the Chase Community Giving Advisory Board will choose one or more nominated charities to receive donations with a combined total of $1 million.

All in all, there’s $5 million available and you are the voice that gets this done for us and for our animals. Make the SPCA one of your 20 votes for round 1.
